I believe the above George Alexander is my grandmother's brother.
They look like each other! What surprises me as I never thought about the year of 1920 dress attaire!
They had long dresses! I never asked my grandmother how she dressed when she was young, I always assumped until now and I am 66...that she always wore short dresses. I know that she said they
did not have much when she was little and for dolls she had a squash, dishes were broken pieces of glass.
My sister made her a doll (china head) when she went into the hospital; she was buried with that doll.
Alice Mae and her brother, George were born and raised in Ravenswood, W.V. I was very fortunate to visit the town many years ago. Their home was on a hill overlooking the river...this is what my grandmother said as the home was no longer there when I went to the town.
