All information on living people is private and can only be accessed by verified family members.
Verified family members are people who are on the Family Tree.
Unless a death date is known, a person is presumed to be living until aged 110 years.
Other information may be made private upon a reasonable request.
Private information is hidden from anonymous users, search engines and advertisers.

Member accounts may only be set up by the site Administrator and only at the request of the prospective member.
Genealogical data is collected about family members sufficient to verify their membership of the family.
All such genealogical data is kept private as described above.
Additional site member data is restricted to user-name, password and email address.
All site member data is hidden from anonymous users, search engines and advertisers.
User names are visible to other logged-in members.
Email addresses and passwords are kept private from other logged-in members.

Shep's Place sets cookies on visitors' browsers to manage visitor sessions.
No private information is collected or used by Shep's Place except to display the User names of currently logged in members to other currently logged in members, to permit members to communicate directly with one another and to track member logins.
No private information is collected about anonymous visitors.

To off-set its costs, Shep's Place may accept direct advertising and advertising through intermediaries such as Google and others.
Shep's Place does not collect nor pass on any information which would allow any advertiser or intermediary to personally identify visitors.
Advertising intermediaries may also place cookies which track data sufficiently to manage the advertisements.
