Membership policy
Revised: 20 November 2010
See the Shep's Place Privacy policy.
Memberships and membership types are assigned by the site adminstrator who is responsible, on behalf of family members, for compliance with Shep's Place privacy and membership policies.
There are three types of membership available for this site:
Authorised users
Authorised Users do not need to be family members but are able to contribute to discussion forums and add comments. They do not have visibility of genealogical information on living people. To become an authorised user it is merely necessary to establish your genuine interest.
Family members
Family Members have full visibilty of genealogical information on the site. To be assigned this type of membership an individual must be a verified member of the family and be on the Family tree.
If you wish to become a Family Member of the site you will need to provide sufficient information to enable the site administrator to place you on the Family tree. This would normally require you to provide names and dates of people connecting you to someone who is already on the Family tree.
Authors
Authors have full visibility of all information on the site and are able to create and edit content. Authors must also be family members and meet the same family membership requirements.
Membership enquiries
For membership enquiries contact the site administrator. Please be prepared to verify your links to the family if you want Family membership or to demonstrate your genuine interest in our discussion forums if you want to be an Authorised user.
