JAMES BOGGS

GALLIPOLIS - James ‎(Jim)‎ Boggs, 84, ex-Gallia County Commissioner, a res ident of Chillicothe Rd., died around 4:30 a.m., Saturday in the Gallipol is Medical Center hospital. He had been ill the past three years.
Mr. Boggs was born in Walnut Twp., on Sept. 29, 1884, son of the late Ja mes and Matilda Waugh Boggs.
He married Gertrude Langdon in 1908. She died Feb. 26, 1968. Three bro thers and a sister also preceded him in death.
One son, Thurman Boggs, Jackson Pike, and Ethel Boggs, Chilicothe Rd.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Monday at the McCoy Funeral Ho me in Vinton under the direction of Rev. Joseph C. Chapman, and Rev. Ea rl Cremeens.
Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery at Bidwell. Friends may call at t he funeral home today between 2-4 and 7-0 p.m.
