Shared Note: - (Research):The index on Ancestry.com for the 1880 census shows the Manly Brown family in Augusta, Kentucky; however, I cannot find their names in the census. There has been some logistical error; however, I believe that they were there in June 1880.

1900 Census Waggener District: Manly 48 and Rebecca 45 are farming near Hartford with their daughter Hattie, who is 21 and single. Manly claims his birth state is Virginia, not Ohio.
According to this census, Manly was born in January 1852, not as we thought, May 1844. Oh dear, which one is right?

Manly and Rebecca were to be listed in the 1880 census for Augusta, Bracken Co., Kentucky--however, I could not find them. It is, however, likely that they lived there, especially if Manly were working on the river.
