Hide Details Shared Note: - (Research):Without absolute proof, I believe that the parents of Elizabeth A. James were Hugh James and Mary A. Hugh was born about 1819 in Pennsylvania, while Mary A. was born in (West) Virginia about 1824.

In 1850 they were living in Parkersburg, Washington Co., ‎(West)‎ Virginia; in 1860 Hugh may have died, but Mary A. and some of her children were living in Beverly, Washington Co., ‎(West)‎ Virginia. I couldn't find her in 1870.

Elizabeth A. James' siblings, as taken from the 1850 and 1860 federal censuses were Marion F. about 1843, Caroline about 1848, Sarah A. 1850, Andrew about 1852, and twins Charles William and Mary Joanna ‎(1855)‎.
