Good morning Irene!
Washington has multiple cemeteries which were started by the Independent O rder of Odd Fellows. It took me a minute or six to figure out which o ne we were talking about, because I couldn't recall having taken a pho to of Edna's individual marker. Well, there's the answer. I haven't. Ye t. The cemetery we're talking about, in Monroe, Washington, was on my "ro ute" for the Memorial Day weekend and I did just a preliminary walk-throug h, plus taking what F-A-G calls a "gate" photo. It's close enough I shou ld be able to "cycle" back there soon, especially if I'm on a mission. T he cemetery is about 100 acres, which is a lot of real estate to cover. S ee below. I scanned through the other photos I took of the cemetery and d id not find any of your loved ones that I might have taken by "serendipity ", but did find one of some nice flowers which the Admins did not inclu de on the Web site. Enjoy.
First of all, though, the good news. I don't charge. I refuse to charg e. I do this for love and out of dedication to Washington State's histor y, heritage, and veterans. Self-employment is an incredible hassle. Besi des, it's more fun to be a cemetery angel. The early newspapers for Monr oe and Snohomish County are available at the University of Washington, b ut there's no guarantee they'll have obits. The records for the IOOF ceme tery in Monroe are on site, but there's no guarantee they'll be marked. T he death certificates 1907-1951 for Washington state are pretty easy to g et at, but there's no guarantee they're recorded before 1920. And so o n. So here's the bad news: I'm willing to do what you request for fre e, but I can't give a timeframe on when it will get done. Just re-start ed employment and it's gonna encroach on graving somewhat.
Assuming you saw my profile page on Find-a-Grave. Thanks for visiting! I 've marked the interments you were interested in and will do looku ps as I can...will e-mail you back when I have something to report.
