The social event of Hartford City, was the marriage yesterday, by Rev. A. E. Grover, Pastor of the Kanawha Presbyterian Church of this city, at the home of the bride, of Dr. Chas. W. Petty, to Miss Nettie Augusta, the handsome and accomplished daughter of Capt. and Mrs. M[anly].B. Brown. Quite a large number of relatives and invited friends were present to witness the interesting ceremony, a good many going from this city. the bride is one of the most popular young ladies in this county, while the groom is equally as popular, and is a practicing physician at Hartford. The presents were many and valuable. The Register extends its best wishes to the happy young couple.
