Note: He was named Cecil Ernest (for his father) Lee (for his mother). His father Ernest William Skitch, a teacher at Stockport, registered the birth on April 17th 1894. The mother's name was Alice Le Lievre Skitch, formerly Lee. The registrar was L. W. Gitsham of Stockport.
Note: On the marriage certificate for marie Ellizabeth Croft, we find that she is 19 years old and her residence at time of marriage was 43 Clonhook [or Clouhook] Road. Her father, Alfred James Croft, was a dock foreman. Her husband, Cecil Ernest Lee Skitch was 24 years old, also residing at 43 Clonhook Road. His rank of profession was "on H.M.S." His father's name was Ernest William Skitch, a school inspector. They were married according to the rites and ceremonies of the Church of England at St Faith's church in the parish of Stoke Newington in the County of London by J.V. Pixell. The witnesses to the marriage were R.A. (Ralph Aubrey) Skitch, Cecil's brother and G.M. Lampriere [difficult to read].
According to psephos.net Cecil Ernest Lee Skitch stood for election to the South Australian House of Representatives three times: Boothby electorate in 1931 and Barker in 1934 and 1940.
