Biographical Notes

Hide Details Note: May 3, 1882. The monotony of our quiet city was somewhat broken on Tuesday the 25th by the marriage of Rev. L. E. Peters, pastor of the First Baptist Church to Miss Maggie Chapman, daughter of Deacon Erasmus Chapman.

Fifty guests were present. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. N.E. Powell of Parkersburg after which a sumptuous repast was served to all which did ample justice. The social feature of the evening was very enjoyable.

The respect and esteem in which the bride was held was shown by the following lists of handsome presents which she received: Mr. and Mrs. E.
