Note: Mary Catherine (Dinovo) Warner, age 82 of Delaware died Thursday, October 09, 2008 in Columbus. She was born on June 28, 1926 in Delaware to the late Salvatore A. "Sam" and Ignatia "Ceena" (Salamony) Dinovo. A graduate of St. Mary High School Class of 1944, she was a lifelong resident of Delaware and Westerville.
Mary and her first husband of 30 years, Ross Hamilton, owned and operated Hamilton Market in Westerville for 27 years. Ross preceded her in death in 1977 and her second husband, Robert Warner, died in 1990.
High spirited and strong willed, she enjoyed life, family, and friends. A fan of Dean Martin and collector of angels, she also enjoyed bowling, golf and card club events.
She is survived by son Dan (Bonnie) Hamilton of Plain city; daughter Trish Hamilton of Delaware; step-daughters Sonja (John) Leonard of Florida, Linda Smith of Delaware; grandchildren Wendy (Bill) Robinson, Gina Hamilton, Daniel R. Hamilton; great-grandchildren: Megan and Nathan Robinson, step-grandchildren Shane (Sandi) Smith, Shannon Roof, Kelly (Nick) Vermillion, and numerous step-grandchildren, brothers Michael (Mary) Dinovo of Delaware, Samuel of Delaware; sisters Anne Rowlands of Delaware, Seraphine "Feene" Wooley of Marion, sisters-in-law Mary Dinovo of Indian Lake, Jean Armstrong of Westerville, brother-in-law Cecil Hamilton of Lakewood plus numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Also preceded in death by brothers Frederick, Gus, Joseph, Anthony and sister Josephine Meyers.
Friends may call Sunday 1:00-6:00 p.m., prayer services 5:00 and Monday prior to the services at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St., Delaware, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 82 E. William St., Delaware, with Rev. David Schalk Celebrant and Rev. Kevin Kavanagh. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Delaware.
