Cane, 21 yrs, lived with his grandfather, Robert Anderson, at Amherst Street, Norwood. His mother had died in 1901, and his father may have been unwell because he died on Christmas day in 1906. Another scenario is that Charles Jr. was looking after his maternal grandfather because he was ill. Robert Anderson died in July 1905. Charles was quite young to lose his family within five years. He was only 17 when his mother died.

In 1905 Charles A. Cane, 21 yrs, lived with his grandfather, Robert Anderson, at Amherst Street, Norwood. His mother had died in 1901, and his father may have been unwell because he died on Christmas day in 1906.

Another scenario is that Charles Jr. was looking after his maternal grandfather because he was ill. Robert Anderson died in July 1905. Charles was quite young to lose his family within five years. He was only 17 when his mother died.
