Note: 1900: Monroe was 41 years old and a general merchant. Catharine, his wife was 43 years old; and they had been married for fifteen years. Catharine had had six children of whom four were living. The children were Louden 16, Chauncey 11, Oretha ten and Stephen three.
1920: Harvey was 62 and Catharine 63 years. They had only two children at home, Oretha 29 and Stephen 22 years. Both Oretha and Stephen were teachers in the public schools.
