Biographical Notes	Note: Henry Kauntze, born in Ireland about 1808, was a training master for the British military. I assume that he trained the horses, or was it the soldiers? He worked at the Hulme Cavalry Barracks in Hulme, Lancashire, and at the Hounslow Barracks in Heston, Middlesex. Henry and his wife Rebecca, who was ten years younger than he, had a family of at least five children. Rebecca was a British Subject who had been born in India. Their children were born in various places including Brighton, Sussex; York, Yorkshire; Coventry, Warwickshire; Ireland; and Hounslow. This suggests that the family moved fairly frequently.

Biographical Notes
