I regret to report the death of two very old and respected residents of this week. ...

Yesterday morning Mr. H. Boase died at his residence here, after an illness of several months from cancer or tumour on the stomach. Deceased was a very old resident, coming to the district in the year 1870. For some time he resided at Rivoli Bay South, and followed the business of carrier.

Subsequently he came to reside here. He was very much respected for his kindly and manly disposition. He made a host of friends. He carried on the business of carrier for several years, and then was ranger and herdsman for the District Council of Millicent for 10 or 11 years, in which capacity he gave general satisfaction. He leaves a widow and several sons and daughters, for whom much sympathy is felt. The funeral took place today and was largely attended. The Rev. D.C. Harris officiated at the graveside.
