December 13, 1853 First guardianship account of Nathaniel Martt, Guardian of the minor heirs of William A. Mart. There is remaining in the hands of said Guardian belonging to said Minor heirs the sum of $241.71.
NATHANIEL MART'S ESTATE This day towit the 2nd day of August AD 1860, Lydia Mart was appointed administratrix of the estate of Nathaniel Mart deceased. Thereupon the said Lydia Mart came before the Court and accepted said appointment and gave bond with Joseph H. Mart, Marshall A. Thornton, Harrison Fowler, John B. Mart and Isaac M Mart her securities in the ...sum of Five Thousand Dollars, said bond being approved by said Court it is ordered that letters of administration issue to said administratrix. It is further ordered that Thornton Drummond George Chapmand and Anderson Neal after being duly sworn do upon actual view appraise the personal property and effects of which were the said Nathaniel Mart deceased, Wn, H. Murchead Probate Judge
On Nathaniel's tombstone it simply says b. 1788 d. July 20, 1860 age 72y.
