1850: Eliza, 39, and Stephen, 44, had five children at home: William 17, Ezra 14, Harriet 11, Charles 6 and Minerva J. 3. Stephen was a farmer.
1860: Eliza, 50, and Stephen, 54, were farming with real estate worth $3000 and personal assets worth $800. At home were William D., a "pilot," (riverboat), Charles 16, a "laborer," and Minerva 13.
1870: Eliza, 59, and Stephen, 64, had Minerva, 22, at home plus William Hayman 9, who attends school. Perhaps he was a grandson.
