Note: Una Chapman was admitted to Nairne Primary School on 1 October 1893 until September 1902. She signed the Temperance Pledge Book at the school on 10 December 1901.
After her mother died, Una's father, George Chapman, told her and her sister Beryl that one of them could stay at home to look after him and young Thelma while the other sister could learn a job skill. Una chose to stay at home while Beryl went to town to learn millinery.
