Note: The Tisher family lived in Barnesville, Ohio, in July 1860 when the federal census was taken. Their post office address was Hannibal, Ohio. Isaac 29 years was a mate on a boat, while Helen 27 years had three children at home: Sarah ten, Almedia eight, and Isaac two. Jane Varner 18 was a domestic servant.
The Tishers lived next door to the Kaspar Eisenbath family whose son Christian would one day marry Almedia.
From the 1900 census we learn that Christopher Eisenbarth's wife, Jane, had died, and he had remarried Alemeda, 47. Christopher was 58. No occupation information was given. Emma Zinct 18 years was their "help."
Alemieda Tisher was 31 years old when she married C.C. in September 1884 in Barnesville, Ohio. She and C.C. had no children.
C.C. was 63 years old when he died in New Martinsville, West Virginia.
We find Alemieda again in the 1920 census report. Aged 65 years, she was living on Maple Avenue in New Martinsville with her sister Ida L. Tisher 45. Ida worked as a bookkeeper.
