Shep's Place Family Tree

A death notice in the Gallipolis Daily Tribune ‎(Tues. June 17, 1969)‎ reveals that Eugenia, 73 years old, had died at home in Cleveland. She was born 18 June 1895, and was the direct descendent of Joseph Devacht ‎(one of the original French settlers of Gallipolis)‎. Eugenia was a retired teacher, who had been a Second Lieutenant in the WACS during World War II. She was survived by one brother, Oscar, of Columbus and by two sisters, Mrs. Clyde Benoy and Mrs. L.E. Dameron of Orlando Florida.
