1910: Frank 37, was divorced and living with his parents in Mason county. His children Ruby 12, and Luella 10, were there as well. Frank was a mail clerk with the Railway.
1930: Frank Chapman 57 had a daughter, Ruby H. 31, from his previous marriage. He and Alice 53 had adopted Paul Hayden, Iva's son. Paul was 17 yrs. Frank was working as postmaster at the Hartford post office, and Alice was the assistant postmaster.
Note: Frank's death was attributed to "Buerger's disease" (thromboanglitis obliterans) which is a narrowing of arteries and veins, especially in the legs, with a tendency for vessels to be obstructed by blood clots. It causes symptoms of inadequate blood supply...Symptoms usually start before the age of 40, and the patients are men who smoke heavily.... " Frank was a cigarette smoker.
