Note: In a history of the Burnette family (author unknown) it says that Murwood came from Lynchburg, VA in the early 1800s when he was about 9 yrs old (that would be about 1831). According to another source (Campbell?) Murwood came to Gallia County from near Lynchburg also about 1831.
Murwoods parents were also born in VA. He used to live in Honey Hollow (Holler).

Citation to show cause why he should not be removed from his Guardianship of said Minors: Edward E. Burnett, Sarah J. Burnett, and Rebecca Burnett. ....to show cause why he should not be removed, for neglecting to pay over funds in his hands.
Murwood Burnett, their uncle only 31 years old at that time, was removed from his guardianship due to improper care and improper use of the monies allowed for their care. Their aunt Mary Ann P. Burnett, Murwood's wife, was alive at that time.
William Sibley and his wife became the guardians of Vintner Burnett's three children when it was found that they were not being properly cared for by their grandfather Murwood.

Note: Murwood's second wife was Nancy Beaver. Murwood, or Mug, as he was known, was the second of four husbands of Nancy. The others were Willis Beaver [whose name, I think was Henry Willis, known as Willis], Jerry Huron, and Lood Sheets (son of Big Brice, son of John)!
Murwood and Nancy's marriage license was issued the 20 November 1889 by J. L. Fillinger and signed by probate judge John J. Thomas. The marriage took place on the 21 of November 1889 by Rev. J. T. Halley.
Murwood was 68; Nancy 33. Mary A., his first wife and mother of his children, would have jumped from her grave if she had known!
