Note: Civil WarMr. Nida was a soldier in the late war, enlisting in Company B, 91st Ohio Volunteer Infantry, served three years and was discharged honorably. He participated in fifteen battles, the most noted of which were Cloyd Mountain, New River Bridge, Lynchburg raid, two days' battle at Winchester, Fisher's Hill and Cedar Creek, making in all over 1,500 miles of marching.
