Note: William's birth was recorded in the register of the Baptist church at Thorn. He was the only son of John and Mary and was followed by five sisters. No information has been found about his occupation.
On 26 April 1802 he married Fanny Clayton at the Woburn parish church. Children arrived in rapid succession so that at the time of William's death on 10 October 1811, Fanny was left with eight small children, according to the note of William's burial in the register. The sequence of the children's births is unknown.
