Note: Aunt Welth always kept an immaculate house and was very particular about how things were done. She always wore a hairnet when she was making the Christmas fruitcake.
Note: Mamie remembered that Aunt Welth and Aunt Mary for make-up used to put flour on their faces. Then they'd get a little piece of wallpaper that had some red in it to use for rouge.
They always covered themselves to protect themselves from the sun.
Mome and her friend Myrtle from Gallia County saw an ad for domestic duties in the paper. They applied and got the job. Part of the job was to cook the evening meals. These people were expecting gournet type meals. Mom had a heck of a time; but when she left, they really bragged her up.
