Biographical Notes Note: Sarah's eldest child was born in Sydney and brought up by his grandmother as her own child. She married Joseph William Benson in 1891 in Broken Hill. In 1905 he was an ironmonger at 54 Sheldon St with his business at Charles St, Norwood. In 1915, Sarah lived at 4 Ann St, Adelaide, then at 211 Gillies St. She died 20.12.1940, "At Adelaide, beloved wife of Joseph William Benson. Privately laid to rest at West Terrace cemetery". Joseph remarried and died on 15.10.1947 "at Adelaide, beloved husband of Ada Benson of 3 Third Ave, Brighton, aged 83".
