Note: The marriage record was not to be found St. Catherine's House, London although registration at the central office London was compulsory from 1837. Parsons of some parishes resisted the new law and failed to forward information. The record no doubt lies at some obscure country church.
Note: Eunice was barely five feet tall and had weighed 17 stone before she suffered a stroke nine years before she died. The two daughters nursed her devotedly. During the last year or so she had faded to less than 7 stones and was easily carried up and down stairs by her nurses. She died at home aged 72 years on 16 Mar 1888 and joined Richard at St. Mary's Churchyard.
