Biographical Notes | Lawrence County, Ohio, USA
Note: Luther grew up on his father's farm in Guyan Township, Gallia County, but he became a teacher and moved to Lawrence County with his first wife, Ada. There is no record of them having any children and she died in 1898, only 6 years after they were married. In 1910 he had a widow, Sallie Miller, living with him as a housekeeper with her daughters, Addie and Jessie. In 1914 he remarried and he and his new wife, Effie, had two children, Helen and Arno. They eventually settled in Rome Township, Lawrence County, and Luther returned to farming.
