Note: 1900: Elijah and Siloam were both 50 years old. They had been married for 28 years. During that time they had had six children. Sadly, only two of those children were living. In the household were son Clarke, niece Flossa nine, and nephew Lawson seven.
May 1910: Lij 58 years and Siloam 58 had been married for 36 years. Of their six children, only two were living. Flossie 19 and Lawson 17 were designated as "grandchildren."
1920: Elijah W. and Siloam Burnett Sheets were both 68 yrs and were renting their farm in Harrison Township. Both could read & write.
Mr. E.W. Sheets son of Mr. & Mrs. John sheets, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. L. E. Donalds on Court St., March 6, 1926 after five months illness at the age of 76 years.
He leaves one daughter [Artemishia = Mishie], one son [R. Quincy Sheets], one sister [Eliz. Sheets Niday] & five brothers [Wm. F., Lewis, Brice, James & Luther] besides several grandchildren. His wife preceded him over a year ago. He was a member of Siloam church.
Burial was in the Sheets Cemetery Monday by Undertaker Halley.
