James L. Boggs
James L. Boggs, 86, of DeLand, Florida, formerly of Gallipolis, died on Thursday, February 5, 2004 at Hospice of Volusia/Flagler Care in Port Orange, Florida.
He was born on February 25, 1917 in Gallia County, Ohio to the late Thomas and Renie Cottrell Boggs. He was married on November 20, 1943 in Middle port, Ohio to Maxine Shato, who survives him. He was retired from Timken Roller Bearing Company as a machinist. He was a member of the Christian Church in DeLeon Springs, Florida and a member of the Free and Accepted Masons Lodge of #637 in Columbus, Ohio.
Survivors include his wife, Maxine Boggs of DeLand, Florida; a daughter, J acquelin (Russell) Moll, also of DeLand; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Erma Green of Columbus, Ohio and Margaret Utt of Indiana; one brother, Charles Boggs of Proctorville, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Freda Barcus and Anna Fink, and one brother, Marshall Boggs.
Services will be Monday, February 9, 2004 at 2 p.m. at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Lynn officiating. Burial will follow at Vinton Memorial Park. There will not be any calling hours.

DELAND - James L. "Jim" Boggs, 86, of Hunters Creek Drive, died Feb. 5, 2004, at the Hospice Care Center in Port Orange.
Mr. Boggs was a machinist for Timken Roller Bearing Co. in Columbus, Ohio. Born in Gallia County, Ohio, he moved to this area 34 years ago from Co lumbus.
He was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons in Columbus and the Christ ian Church at DeLeon Springs.
Mr. Boggs is survived by his wife of 60 years, Winifred M.; one daughter, Jacqueline Moll of DeLand; one brother, Charles of Proctorville, Ohio; two sisters, Erma Green of Columbus and Margaret Utt of Indiana; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Lankford was in charge.
