After John Harvey's death in 1841, Elizabeth stayed on in Sawston and became a laundress to earn her living. She was about 64 years old at the time.

Ten years later, Elizabeth at age 74 is a laundress, born St Ives. Her daughter Mary, unmarried, aged 40 was "wife"! She too was a laundress. Elizabeth's granddaughter Elizabeth 14 yrs was also living with them. Was she Mary's daughter?

Elizabeth died of "senility and decay" which means that Mary had to deal with that. Poor Mary, poor Elizabeth.
