In the 1880 census for Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio, there was a Kate "Gersman" who was a domestic servant from Hanover to the Barney and Agnes Bunke Strotkamp family, who were also from Hanover. There were also three other servants or laborers from Hanover to support this family.
