DIES SUDDENLY IN ARIZONA Morris W. Burnett, 50, a veteran of World War II, and a resident of Kanauga, died suddenly at 6:30 yesterday at the home of a sister in Phoenix, Ariz., where he had been visiting for two months. He had been in ill health for several years. Mr. Burnett was a flight instructor in the Air Force. He was born Oct., 4, 1914 at Mercerville, son of the late Truman Burnett, and his mother Stella Smith Burnett survives and lives at Kanauga. His marriage was to the former Olive Lawless, who survives along with two sons, Charles and Andres Burnett of Rio Grande. Other survivors are six brothers and three sisters, Woodrow and Vinton Burnett, both of Addison, Claude, Clyde, Robert and Truman, Jr., all of Kanauga, Mrs. Helen Strickland of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Rachel Borton and Mrs. Mary Ann Bowman, both of Gallipolis. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday (DST) at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral home. Burial will be in Mound Hill cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday, and until the hour of the service.

Morris Wilson Burnett, was born October 4, 1914 in Guyan Township, Gallia County, Ohio. He died suddenly at 6:30 p.m. April 29, 1965 in El Mirage, Arizona at the age of 50 tears 6 months and 25 days. He was the son of Truman F. and Stella (Smith) Burnett who survive and live at Kanauga, Ohio. Morris was a well-known Aviator in his younger years and served as a flight instructor in the United States Army air Corps during World War II, and for several years later was a private instructor. He married the former Olive Lawless on April 16, 1945, who survives, also two sons, Charles, a freshman at Rio Grande College and Andrew, a senior at Gallia Academy High School. Other survivors are six brothers and three sisters, Woodrow and Vinton of Addison, Claude, Clyde, Robert and Truman, Jr., all of Kanauga. Mrs. Helen Strickland of El Mirage, Arizona, Mrs. Rachel Borton and Mrs. Mary Ann Bowman of Gallipolis, Ohio.
