Note: Johannes "Hans" von Nuett, Nuiten, Nidda, Nitta: was born in 1584 and died in 1633. He married Anne Marie Cullman in 1603, and after her death in 1616, he married Anna Margaret Oberlandschiedt, daughter of Pastor Johannes Oberlandschiedt of Freimersheim.
Johannes was a merchant and marshal of the city [of Landau]. He seems to have owned real estate, for in 1633 the widow of "Johann von Nidda, the lord marshal" paid taxes for land. The widow carried on his business after his death, for in 1634 we find listed among the expenses of the city also "6 Gulden to marshal Joh. v. Nida's widow for '13 Rhatschuene und 5 Viertel Schonnaegel zu Kutschraedern."
Hans von Nuett was an important merchant who owned quite a lot of property in the city. The Senate gave the office of marshal to him, which at that time included the duty to take care of the welfare and lodging of high personages who visited the capital. After the end of the Thirty Years' War, almost all of the families of Eberhard's branch moved to neighboring villages.
