Edit Mae SWEET, 95, of Mechanicsburg, died Wednesday, June 19, 1996, at 11 :20 p.m. in Heartland of Urbana.
She was born June 22, 1900, in Springfield, the daughter of the late Horace and Mary ‎(FISSEL)‎ DOWDEN.
She attended the Mechanicsburg United Methodist Church.
Survivors include sons, William ‎(Louise)‎ ROSE of Westerville, Donald ‎(Carol)‎ SWEET of Urbana; stepson, Wayne SWEET of Springfield; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; one step-grand daughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank SWEET ‎(1955)‎; sister, Hazel STREBRY; and brother, Bill DOWDEN.
Funeral service will be at 10a.m. Saturday in the Skillman-McDonald Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg, where family will received friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday. Burial in Ferncliff Cemetery, Springfield. Contributions may be made to the Mechanicsburg United Methodist Church of Mechanicsburg EMS.
