Mr. Rees Davis, living near Patriot, died this Monday morning of brain trouble. He had only been ill for a few days. He left a wife and several children. He was a farmer and a nice man and left many friends.
The funeral will be Wednesday about noon at Tyn Rhos. Undertaker Phillips of Waterloo has charge of the body.

This obituary has a couple "misprints".
Ralph was Rees and Rella's only child.

According to Ann Baker, Rees Davis got into a fight with a couple men over a line fence. The men beat Rees Davis so badly that he died a couple days later from his injuries.
