Note: Her obituary states that she came to America with her parents in 1853 and settled near the Cora Community where she lived until March 1872 when she was united in marriage to David D. Davis. To this union were born five children.
She left behind her husband, one sister Rachel Phillips of Columbus, Ohio and one brother, Daniel D. Griffith of Cora to mourn her loss. One sister, Mrs. B.L. Jones and brother John Griffith preceding her to the great beyond.
She was a most estimable lady, faithful, industrious wife and a loving mother. She joined the Baptist church in early life and lived a faithful consistent Christian.
She was a loving mother and companion and heaven and heavenly things were the subject of her conversation in her late illness. She will be greatly missed, she gave herself for her devoted family, but we must have abiding faith in God. Remembering that Jesus says, "What I do now ye know not, but ye shall know hereafter".
By an act of faith let us lift our tearful eyes to yonder city beyond death's sea, and see her among those who have washed their robes in the blood of the lamb with their toils and cares forever over and
