Note: Gallipolis Daily TribuneThelma Stewart Mrs. Thelma Mae Stewart, 38, Kanauga, died at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in General Hospital, Cincinnati, as a result of burns received in a camper explosion on Oct. 25 in Eureka Springs, Ark. Mrs. Stewart, a gospel singer, was born Aug. 21, 1935, in Gallia County, daughter of Arthur Rose, Waterloo, and the late Frances Davis Rose. She married Ray Stewart on July 7, 1950, in Gallipolis. He survives along with four sons: Ray Jr., Arvin, Bryan and Jerry, all at home. One brother and one sister survive, Walter Rose, Willow Wood, and Mrs. John (Juanita) Drummond, Hensdale, Ill. The following half-brothers and sisters survive: Mrs. Knapp McQuaide, Proctorville; Joseph Rose, Gallipolis; Mrs. Jack Callicoat, Willow Wood; Mrs. Larry McComas, Huntington, W. Va.; Marlin Rose, Gallipolis; Mrs. Larry Miller, Ironton; Mrs. John Kuhn, Thurman. She spent most of her life in Gallia County. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at the McDaniel Crossroad Church. Burial will be in Flag Springs Cemetery. Friends may call at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home between 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday.
