Erma Rose, 89, of the Patriot Community, formerly of Waterloo passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at the Holzer Medical Center. She was born on April 27, 1918 in Gallia County, Ohio to the late Daniel and Ora Boggs Davis. Erma was a homemaker and a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church.

Erma was married to Arthur P. Rose and he preceded her in death on March 16, 1991. Also preceding her in death were a son Floyd Joe Rose, a step daughter Thelma Mae Stewart and a step son William Rose, a sister Frances Rose, and four brothers, Stanley, Delbert, Harry and Otis Davis.

She is survived by daughters: Ruth ‎(William)‎ McQuaid of Proctorville, OH,
Esther ‎(Jack)‎ Callicoat of Wilgus, OH, Lillian ‎(Robert)‎ Smith of Gallipolis,
Lavonna ‎(Larry)‎ Miller of Dunnellon, FL, and Carolyn ‎(Johnny)‎ Kuhn of Rio
Grande, Ohio; a step-daughter, Juanita ‎(Harold)‎ Drummond of Hinsdale, IL;
sons: Joseph ‎(Kathleen)‎ Rose of Gallipolis, and Marlin ‎(Nancy)‎ Rose of
Thurman, Ohio; and step-son Walter ‎(Lillian)‎ Rose of Gallipolis.

Many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren
survive.

Services will be 4 pm Saturday May 26, 2007 at Willis Funeral Home, with
burial following in Neal Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior the
services at the funeral home.

Erma Mae ‎(Davis)‎ Rose was my step-grandmother.

For those of you who have copies of My Rose Family Forrest, you will find
her in the Jehu Rose/Elizabeth Jane Niday section. Their son, Harvey, was
the father of Arthur Rose.
