Note: In 1880 Morgan and Sarah had been married for about eight years and had four children born every two years: William eight, Ernest six, James four and Nettie two. The family lived on a farm in Guyan township.
Their family has grown up by the 1900 census taken in June of that year. Morgan 56 and Sarah 49 have been married for 29 years and have had six children, all of whom are living. The children at home that summer day in June were William 28, Mary 15 and Clyde eleven.
A nephew, Clarence H. Rowan, aged ten years was also in their household.
By 1910 all of the children had left home; Morgan and Sarah were living on their own in Mercerville. All of their six children were alive.
