Shep's Place Family Tree

1900 Huntington, West Virginiia: Julia's father has died and the family had moved. The girls are all seamstresses, but there are two boarders in the household to further support the family.

1910 Columbus, Ohio: Comfort, now 73, and her girls have moved again.

1920 Columbus, Ohio: Comfort is 82 yrs, Dollie 53 and Julia 47. Sister Geneva 49 yrs named Safer is a widow. Geneva is a seamstress at a boat shop. The others are seamstresses at home.

1930 Columbus, Ohio: Comfort had died--and possibly Geneva, too--but Dolly 62 and Julia 57 were still in Columbus where they rented their home for $25 per month. Julia was working as a tailoress in a tailor shop. They had one lodger, Joe Ross from Italy, aged 43 yrs, a laborer on the railway.
