Note: Arthur Albert managed to have seven children before his premature death at the age of 31.
In October 1887 Arthur assisted a neighbour who was moving to the Victorian Wimmera District by driving a wagon to their new home. On his return journey he boarded the Melbourne-Adelaide train at Dimboola. He must have caught a chill because by the time the train reached Adelaide Albert was critically ill with pneumonia. He was admitted to the Royal Adelaide Hospital where he lingered long enough for his father to reach his bedside.
Arthur and Emma had seven children in eight years; and now they were without a father.
