Note: 1861: Henry W. and James W. were both born in Selby St, Bethnal Green, Middlesex (London). 1891: Henry W. 42, a printer (machine) and Martha 40 lived at 14 Mountford Street in Whitechapel with their five children. Martha 20 was a tag maker; and Henry 15 was a paper packer. The younger boys were scholars: Alfred, Charles W. 9 and Frederick G. seven. All of the boys had been born in Whitechapel. Henry, their father had been born in London, Bethnal Green.
1901: The Buttfields were living in Whitechapel, London, where Henry 50 was a machine minder -worker. Martha 50 had two sons at home: Charles W. 19, a draper's packer and Frederick J. 17 an apprentice printing machine minder. Both boys were born in Whitechapel.
