This evening, we, Henry Nash and James Church, previously Members of the Baptist Church at Watford; Lieut. Col. William Moxon and Phobe Moxon, of the Church at Serampore, East Indies; Thomas Richardson,of the Church at Keppel Street, London: Sarah Richardson, of the Church at Eden Street, London; Millicent Nash, Hannah Hobson, and Hannah Aldridge, of the Church at Hemel Hempsted; Frances Field and Lydia Eames, of the church at Dunstable; Ann Hobson, of the Church at Guilsborough, William Buttfield and Eliza Buttfield, of the Church in Little Prescot Street, London: Sarah Swinscow and Jane Pearce, after deliberation and prayer, and directed, we humbly trust by the Providence of God, solemnly formed ourselves publicly into a Christian Church of the Particular Baptist Denomination, first giving up ourselves to God, and then to one another according to His will, desire to walk in all the commandments of the Lord - blameless: On this solemn occasion, the Rev. James Clark, in kind compliance with our request preached on the discipline of a Christian Church from Romans XV6 "That ye may all with one mind and one mouth glorify God."
Feb. 24, 1826 This evening we met for the first time in the capacity of a Church; and, after prayer for the blessing of God to attend our proceedings, unanimously appointed Brethren James Church, Henry Nash, William Moxon, and William Buttfield, to the Office of Deacons.
