Note: J.H. Sheets Family Holds Ninth Reunion Sunday
The J. H. Sheets family held their ninth annual reunion in the grove back of Northup Baptist Church, Sunday. A basket dinner was attended at noon by the following:
Mr. & Mrs. Clyde Fellure, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Fellure and children Janet, Billy and Anna Louise, Mr & Mrs Harlan Gee, Mr & Mrs Dent Sheets, Mr & Mrs. Hubert Sheets and daughter Donna, Mr & Mrs. Melvin Sheets and family.
Mr & Mrs. Lawrence Carter and son Roy, Mr & Mrs Homer Henshaw and son, Donald and Gary McDaniel, Mr & Mrs. Elbert Graham and son Glenn, Jackie Grubb, Mr. & Mrs. Paul Sheets and sons.
Mr & Mrs Will Shaffer and daughter Geneva, Mr & Mrs. Clayton Phillips and daughter Linda, Mr & Mrs Garral Sheets, Mr & Mrs. Herman Wood and Esta Sheets.
During a brief business session, officers for the ensuing year were elected and it was decided that the reunion would be held next at the same time and place.

Native of Guyan & Head of Well Known Family -- Funeral at Northup At 11 A.M.
James H. Sheets, well known & respected citizen of Green Tp., died at his home at 1 o'clock, Tues. afternoon. He had been ill & bedfast for 12 days suffering from a complication of ailments, but had been in declining health a long time. Mr. Sheets was 77 yrs. old, a native of Guyan Tp., & a son of the late Wilson Sheets. For about 15 yrs. he had lived in the first house beyond what used to be the Blazer Post Office.
He is survived by his wife, who was Mary Groseclose of Seven Mile, Cabell Co., W.Va. & the following children: Mrs. Nellie Sheets, Crown City; Eustace, Marengo, Ohio [Indiana]; Mrs. Lotie Shafer, Mrs. Myra Daniels, Mrs. Nora Fellure, Mrs. Pearl Graham & Dent Sheets all of Northup; & Garrel an O.H. E. employee, & Esta at home. there is one surviving sister, Mrs. James Gatewood of Crown City.
Funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock Thurs. at Northup Church, of which decedent was a member. rev. Jennings Cremeens will officiate. Burial at Mound Hill Cemetery by Funeral Direction. O.E. Elliott.
