The children were Ottie [or Ollie] L., Samuel E. and Emma E. 1910: The Clarys had moved from Lawrence County to Miami County, where Jasper 39 was working in the railway yard, something to do with cinders; Louisa [called Eliza in this census] 38 had a large family to feed: a girl, Lovina 16 yrs [this is a puzzle], Samuel 13, Emma ten, Frank nine, Everett six and Harold four. Louisa has had eight children of whom six are living. It is written that Harold was born in Tennessee!
1920: The Clarys had moved to Darke County, Adams township, where Jasper 49 yrs was working for the railways. Louisa 48 yrs had five children and a son-in-law at home: Samuel 23, a switchman for the railroad; Frank 18, a car repairman at the railroad shop; Everett 15, a switch tender for the railroad; Harold 14; Paul Lee, son-in-law 19 and daughter Emma 19 years.
1930: Jasper 59 was once again farming, this time in Logan, Monroe Co., Ohio. Louisa 58 could have a rest because there was only one other person to cook for, namely, son "Emery H." 24, who was a brakeman on the steam railroad. Is his name Emery or Everett?
Question: Was Jasper born in 1870 or 1871?
