Note: 1900 Lawrence Co: James B. and Maggie had three children: Nellie A. 15, Curtis R. 13 and Clarence E. eleven. Maggie had had four children, and all of them were living. She and James had been married nineteen years.
1910 Gallia Co: James and Maggie had moved to Walnut twonship in nearby Gallia county. There they had their son Clarence 21 yrs, his wife Bessie 20 and their new baby Dale, three months old.
1920 Gallia Co: James 49 yrs a farmer, and Margaret 53 shared their home with only one other person, their grandson Carter, aged eleven. Clarence, Bessie and their family lived on the property next to them. Perhaps James gave Clarence part of his farm.
From the records of the Fox-Fairview Cemetery (p. 19) we see a Harold M. born Jan. 5, 1910 and died April 23. 1935. We do not know whether this was a son or grandson of James and Maggie.
