Of her own children, we find in the 1880 census that Sallie 24 yrs and James 26 yrs are living in Guyan Township with three little boys: "Arta" four, Eddie, three, and "Addie," three months.

Twenty years later, in the 1900 census, only Freddie is at home. He was eleven years old. Sallie had had four children by 1900, when she was 43 years old, and all four of them were alive. The family lived in Ohio Twp. in 1900.
