Mary A. 50 years has six children at home: William, 26, a carpenter; James A., 24, a farmer; Martha E., 22; Clarinda, 21; Adelia E., 19 and Rachel, 12. 1880: Alexander C., 66, is a farmer and miller, while Mary Ann, 59, is keeping house. Their son James, 36, is farming at home. Also living with them are Mary 26, a sister-in-law, and William B. a grandson, aged 3, presumably Mary's child.
