Biographical Notes	Note: Ethel married Thomas Henley, a baker, in Broken Hill on 27.4.1914. They lived at Langham Place Adelaide when he enlisted in the army in 1915, asking that 60% of his pay be sent to his wife and child, Ethel's address was given as c/o Mrs J W Benson, 211 Gillies St, Adelaide. He served as a gunner in the 45th Battery in France and Belgium, returning to Australia in 1919. Their son R D Henley in 1958 wrote from 276 Unley Rd, Hyde Park SA to the army asking for his father's war medals to wear in the Anzac day march, explaining he had been a legacy ward and also that he worked in the South Australian Police Force.
